Salford City Players Join Black History Month Workshop at Premier League Kicks

More than 50 young people welcomed five Salford City FC players to the Foundation’s Premier League Kicks session at Albert Park.

Dan Udoh, Kelly Nmai, Brendan Wiredu, Abraham Odoh and Zach Awe joined participants for a Black History Month workshop before spending time chatting with the young people attending the session.

Salford City FC Foundation’s Premier League Kicks sessions are free to join for children in the local community delivered by UEFA & FA Qualified Coaches and include:

  • Multisport activity
  • Social Action and community support
  • Educational learning and development

The programme provides an opportunity young people to take part in sport and physical activity in a safe and fun environment.

The visit brought players and participants together to mark Black History Month, providing an opportunity to connect through the Foundation’s work in the local community.

After taking part in the workshop, all four players stayed to speak with participants, giving young people the chance to meet members of the Salford City squad and get to know the people behind the shirts.

Every participant also received a ticket to an upcoming Salford City FC fixture, offering them the opportunity to support the team and enjoy a matchday experience.

The evening reflected the strong connection between the football club, the Foundation and the communities they serve. Visits like this help bring that relationship to life, creating memorable experiences for young people through football.

Salford City FC Foundation would like to thank Dan, Kelly, Brendan, Abraham and Zach for their time and involvement, and everyone who attended for making the evening such a positive occasion.
