Salford City FC Foundation has been supporting communities across Salford today, distributing essential food parcels to local people through our programmes and community partners.
The deliveries follow yesterday’s efforts alongside Audacious Church Manchester Community Grocery and Islamic Relief UK, where food packs were assembled to support families across Salford and beyond.
Containing a variety of everyday essentials including milk, rice, pasta, cereal, tinned fish and snacks, the parcels were prepared to provide practical support to people and families who need it most.
Today, those packs have made their way into communities across Salford, with the Foundation working through its programmes and alongside partners including Community Little Hulton and Audacious Church to help get the food into the hands of local people.
The activity highlights the importance of partnership working in responding to needs within our communities. By combining resources with the knowledge and connections of organisations working directly within neighbourhoods, we can help ensure support reaches people across the city.
For Salford City FC Foundation, supporting the community goes far beyond what happens on the football pitch. Our programmes allow us to build relationships with people across Salford and work alongside local organisations to provide support where it is needed.
A huge thank you goes to Islamic Relief UK, Audacious Church Manchester Community Grocery and Community Little Hulton, as well as all our staff who helped pack and distribute the food parcels.
Together, we’re continuing to use the power of our club and our partnerships to make a positive difference across Salford.
