Salford City FC Foundation to Launch New Foundation Health Hub at AIG Stadium

Salford City FC Foundation is delighted to announce the launch of a new Foundation Health Hub, bringing a range of health, wellbeing and community support services directly into the heart of Salford City FC.

Funded in partnership with the Premier League Fans Fund and Salford Public Health, and developed with Salford City FC supporters, the new initiative will help transform AIG Stadium into a welcoming space where local people can access support, connect with others and improve their physical and mental wellbeing away from the traditional clinical environment.

Working alongside partners from across Salford, the Foundation aims to make accessing support feel more familiar and accessible, while using the unique setting of the football club to reach people who may not otherwise engage with traditional health and wellbeing services.

The Foundation Health Hub will host a growing programme of activities covering physical health, mental wellbeing, social connection and targeted community support.

Sessions will take place throughout the week, with the initial programme operating across Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, including morning sessions from 10am–12pm and afternoon sessions from 1pm–3pm.

The Foundation Health Hub will be officially launched on Saturday 19th September, with a special event at AIG Stadium ahead of Salford City FC’s first-team fixture, bringing together partners and stakeholders to celebrate the start of this exciting new initiative.

The programme will bring together Salford City FC Foundation and a range of organisations and services, including Talk About It Mate, Public Health and the NHS, alongside dedicated programmes supporting veterans, disabled supporters and people looking to become more physically active.
