Salford City FC Players Join Dementia Friendly Walking Sports at Albert Park

Salford City FC Foundation welcomed first-team players Elliot Bonds and Taylor Allen to its Dementia Friendly Walking Sports session at Albert Park, funded by Age UK Trafford & Salford joining participants for football, conversation and games.

The pair got involved in football activities before spending time chatting with the group and taking part in puzzles and games. The visit gave participants the opportunity to meet the players and share some of the activities they enjoy at the sessions.

Our Dementia Friendly Walking Sports programme brings together people living with dementia and their carers, offering opportunities to stay active, enjoy familiar activities and connect with others in a welcoming environment. Alongside walking sports, puzzles and games provide different ways for participants to get involved at their own pace.

Visits like this help strengthen the connection between the Club and our local community, bringing players and participants together through a shared enjoyment of sport.

A huge thank you to Elliot and Taylor for their time and enthusiasm, and to everyone who joined us at Albert Park.
