Pupils at Our Lady of Grace RC Primary School enjoyed a special visit from Salford City FC players Ade Oluwo and Dan Udoh last week, as the Ammies duo joined Salford City FC Foundation for an afternoon of football, fun and inspiration.
Ade and Dan spent time meeting pupils and taking part in an interactive Q&A session, giving the youngsters the opportunity to find out more about life as a professional footballer.
The pupils were able to put their questions directly to the players, learning more about their footballing journeys, experiences in the professional game and what it takes to represent Salford City.
There was another surprise in store as the players presented pupils with tickets to watch Salford City take on Fleetwood Town, giving them the opportunity to continue their connection with the Club by experiencing a match at the AIG Stadium.
The visit didn’t stop in the classroom either, with Ade and Dan getting involved in a PE session alongside the pupils.
The Salford City FC pair went head-to-head with the youngsters in a series of speed and reaction-based activities, creating plenty of competitive moments and smiles along the way.
Visits such as this form an important part of Salford City FC Foundation’s work with schools across the city, using the power of football and the connection with Salford City FC to engage and inspire local young people.
