Salford City FC Foundation was proud to attend the EFL Season Launch event at the National Football Museum yesterday, delivering an engaging afternoon of activities that showcased the power of football to bring communities together.
Members of the Foundation team hosted an exercise session for participants from our Walking Football programme, with fantastic support from volunteers from Denis Law Legacy Trust. The session provided participants with the opportunity to stay active, socialise and enjoy the many physical and mental wellbeing benefits that football can offer.
The event also welcomed Salford City FC First Team Manager, Peter Cklamovski, who took the time to visit the Foundation’s fitness workshop and meet participants. His visit highlighted the strong connection between Salford City FC and the Foundation’s work across the local community.
The EFL Season Launch brought together clubs, community organisations and football stakeholders from across the country to celebrate the start of the new campaign and recognise the positive impact that clubs continue to have beyond the pitch.
Walking Football remains a key programme delivered by Salford City FC Foundation, providing opportunities for older adults to improve their fitness, build friendships and remain connected to their community through sport.
A huge thank you to the EFL, and everyone involved in making the event such a success.
